Visual cognition is concerned with understanding the visual information that is used by cognitive processes (eg., memory, attention) in guiding our interactions with our world.
In our lab, we study the interplay of perceptual and cognitive processes involved in tasks such as object and face recognition, and selective attention. We generally use behavioural methods, but have recently started using fMRI as well.
